My name is Nicole Oyin (pronounced Oy-een) Thomas from Philadelphia. After having several bad experiences as a customer with small businesses I really wanted to support, I realized there were things happening in my community that needed to change. I felt that the small business industry needs to elevate….and is starts with hiring right the first time.
I help small business owners and individuals realize how to use their professional superpowers to change the world by helping them find, vet, interview and maintain newly acquired talent.

I have always been a huge proponent of local businesses, but I also understood why so many kept closing after what I had experienced. When I started talking to different business owners about what was going on behind the scenes, a pattern emerged.
None of the owners knew how to find qualified employees. They felt lost in the hiring process and didn’t know what to look for on resumes. And when it came to interviewing, they were just as confused. After helping a few friends for free, I realized something. My skills and experiences had given me the tools to help out the small businesses in my community.
I discovered that part of my mission was to help small businesses find great people to work there to improve and grow their business.
And that’s when Oyin & Co. was born. So many small business owners feel frustrated or disappointed with the results they get from hiring using traditional methods.
